Getting started

Afterward works inside ChatGPT, Claude, Codex and other MCP-compatible assistants. The connection guide has the steps for each. Then ask, for example, “Check example.com before I launch it.”

Common questions

It says I have reached the scan limit

Free audits are limited, currently to 5 every 10 minutes, so the service stays fast for everyone. Your assistant shows how long to wait before scanning again.

A website could not be scanned

Afterward only scans public websites. A scan can fail when the site is offline or slow, blocks automated visitors (for example with a bot-protection challenge), requires a sign-in, or points to a private network address. The result explains which happened.

The owner has asked Afterward not to scan a site

Site owners can opt out of Afterward. When they have, the scan is refused and nothing more is requested from that site. Only the owner can change this.

A finding looks wrong

Afterward reads the HTML the server sends and does not run JavaScript, so content that only appears after scripts run can be missed. If a finding still looks wrong, email us the address and the finding, and we will look into it.

I own a website and do not want it scanned

See the Afterward crawler for the robots.txt rule to add, or email support@afterward.run to have your domain excluded.

What happens to my data?

Afterward keeps very little and does not sell it. The privacy policy explains what is processed, and the terms cover use of the service.
